TRAVEL TRENDS FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS, AND POSSIBLE TRAVEL TRENDS FOR THE NEXT
FIVE YEARS
Previous
travel trends in the Philippines that I believe will include are Cebu, Boracay,
and Ilocos Norte. These three locations have truly provided remarkable
experiences and have been appreciated at various stages. Cebu is the most
popular tourist destination for good reason. In terms of the diversity of
activities and attractions, it is unrivaled. People are looking for a tourist
destination that they will like and remember from their trip, and they will
undoubtedly visit Boracay, a small island with a lot to offer. All on one sandy
strip, you'll discover superb restaurants, a wide range of lodging options,
souvenir shopping, and a variety of fun water activities and nightlife. However,
Ilocos Norte is home to a number of other exquisite Spanish-colonial
cathedrals. Pagudpud and Burgos, further north, offers characteristic
windmills, beautiful beaches, surfing, and coastal landscape.
Second,
here are some potential travel trends for the next five years, such as Siargao,
where its original claim to fame was as the surfing capital of the Philippines,
and more recently as the "Best Island in the World." During the
pandemic, Siargao was the most visited location, and I am looking forward to
seeing Siargao become famous and popular not only in our country but also
around the world. Batanes, the Philippines' northernmost province, is the next
destination I envision being popular in the near future. These remote islands
were produced by volcanic forces and violent typhoons. The natural scenery of
Batanes is distinct from that of the rest of the Philippines. Here you will see
rolling green hills, grazing cows, towering coastal cliffs, breathtaking pure
blue waters, historic stone cottages, and renowned lighthouses. There will
undoubtedly be a large number of tourists looking for. The Province of
Occidental Mindoro is the third. This province has much more to offer than scenic
views of rice fields and mountain peaks. With unspoiled white beaches, an
underwater wonderland, and other enticing views, the province is a promising
hub for sustainable tourism.
Nonetheless, all fears and uncertainty will fade
with time, and people will be going to all corners of the globe in no time.
Traveling will become easier and more comfortable as locations evolve, which we
believe is a positive thing. It brings people closer together, and we also need
to focus more on our country's tourist sites, since I believe the Philippines
has a lot to offer in terms of areas that may assist our tourism business.
